Race Information and Rules
  • "The Full Eurekan" is comprised of the triathlon, 100 mile ride and 10K run. Field limit of 125 participants.
  • "The Half Eurekan" is comprised of the triathlon, 62 mile ride and 5K run. Field limit of 100 participants.
  • To become either the "Full or Half Eurekan", a competitor must complete all three events in the allotted time - see below.
  • To be eligible for either of the Eurekan categories a competitor must register in the Eurekan or Half Eurekan categories
  • All Eurekan and Half Eurekan competitors are required to have a current USA Triathlon license or purchase a one event or annual USAT license in order to compete.
  • USAT License Info: Adult - $15 one event or $50 annual. Youth (17 and under) - $15 annual. There is not a one-event license option for youth
  • When registering for the Eurekan or Half Eurekan on, if competitors are not USA Triathlon annual license holders you will automatically be charged for either the one event or annual license fee depending on which one you choose. A competitor can apply the one event license fee to an annual membership later in the year with USAT.
  • Only one-day adult licenses may be purchased at packet pick-up.
  • Allotted Full distance times per event: Triathlon - 1.5 hours; 100 mile Bike - 9.5 hours from the actual start time; 10K Run - 1.5 hours.
  • Allotted Half distance times per event: Triathlon - 1.5 hours; 62 mile Bike - 6.5 hours from the actual start time; 5K Run - 1 hour.
  • All 2018 USAT rules are in effect for triathlon.
  • Event will be held rain or shine.
  • Minimum age to compete in either distance of the Eurekan challenges are 16 years of age. NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • "Race-day Basics for triathlon"
    Thursday of race week from 6pm to 7pm at the host hotel. Race-day preparation, nutrition, key do's and don'ts. Questions are encouraged!

  • Triathlon - Friday 2:00pm
  • 100 Mile Bike Ride -Saturday 7:00am
  • 62 Mile Bike Ride - Saturday 7:15am
  • 5K Run - Sunday 7:30am
  • 10K Run - Sunday 7:45am
  • Transition and Staging Area Directions -
  • Friday - Triathlon at Holiday Island. Parking at Holiday Island Recreation Center - 13 Buckskin Lane, Eureka Springs, AR 72631. Noon transition area opens for racer who have picked up packets. Racers must pick up packets before entering transition. 2pm start time.
  • Saturday - Bike Ride. Victoria Inn which is located at the intersection of E. Van Buren & Ridgeview Rd. See Google Maps link - Click here. Address is - 4052 E. Van Buren Eureka Springs, AR 72632. The Victoria Inn is 2.5 miles east from the Hwy 23 (Hunstville Rd) / Hwy 62 intersection (this intersection is located next to Land O Nod motel, which is not the staging area).
  • Sunday - Run. Staging area at the city courthouse on Main Street/Hwy 23
  • Awards and recognition - "The FUll Eurekan"
  • Technical fabric shirt embroidered with the year and "The Eurekan" logo
  • Unique, custom-designed finisher medal
  • Male and Female with the fastest cumulative time will each receive a custom award
  • Awards and recognition - "The Half Eurekan"
  • Finisher tshirt with the year and "The Half Eurekan" logo
  • Unique finisher medal
  • Male and Female with the fastest cumulative time will each receive an award
  • Awards Ceremony - Eureka Springs City Auditorium
  • 11:00am - Video & Picture Recap of the weekend...YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS!
  • 11:00am - Door prizes for all event participants who attend the ceremony
  • 11:30am - "The Full Eurekan" Recognition
  • Door Prizes, Pre & Post Race Goodies -

  • Saturday post ride celebration with adult beverages, food and snacks
